When designing our product, many factors and options were considered. One of the more difficult decisions that had to be made was choosing a sweetener.
The popular trend currently in protein supplements is to replace sugars with artificial sweeteners such as Sucralose. This leaves buyers who only want natural ingredients with few options or forces them to consume unnatural, chemical-filled foods.
Carbohydrates and natural sweeteners can actually be beneficial. Since carbohydrates and sugars raise insulin production, they help protein get to the muscles faster and aiding in their repair and rebuilding after strenuous exercise.
The choice to use natural cane sugar and stevia became a lot easier when we asked ourselves what we would feel comfortable giving to our family members. The answer was easy...only natural ingredients.
